1. What is WAE26 Revival, and who is it for?
WAE26 Revival(Worship Arts Encounter 2026) is a dynamic conference hosted by Christ Center for Dance & the Arts at Christ Community Church of Philadelphia, 4017 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA. This event is for worshipers, artists, dancers, and anyone passionate about using the arts to glorify God. It’s designed to equip, encourage, and inspire those involved in worship arts and to bring together a community of like-minded believers.
2. What is the schedule for WAE26 Revival?
The conference will be on Saturday, April 25, from 12:30 PM - Approx 9 PM . Door open at 12:00 PM. The day includes a variety of sessions, breakout workshops, and evening worship gatherings. A detailed schedule is here on the website, but the link will be provided for guests at WAE.
3. Can I attend only part of the conference?
Registered guests may attend the Day Session; however, the evening General Session (Worship/Preaching) will be open to all.
4. Where do I park, and are there nearby accommodations?
Christ Community Church offers limited parking, and there is also street parking available around the venue. Please pay close attention to street signs.
5. Who should I contact if I have questions during the conference?
During WAE, our point people will be the WAE Team. You can approach anyone in a WAE staff shirt for assistance or head to the information desk in the main lobby.
6. Will there be any items available for purchase?
Yes! We’ll have a Marketplace with vendors offering worship arts materials, dance garments, flags, books, and other resources.
7. Are there options for meals during WAE?
While meals are not provided, there are various local dining options near Christ Community Church. Additionally, light refreshments will be available after evening sessions. For those interested, a list of nearby restaurants and cafés will be provided on-site.
8. Can I record sessions or take photos during the conference?
We ask that attendees refrain from recording sessions or taking photos during worship times to maintain a reverent atmosphere unless directed otherwise. However, feel free to take photos during breaks or in the Marketplace area.
9. What should I wear to WAE?
We encourage attendees to dress comfortably and modestly. Since this is a worship and arts-focused event, you’ll see a range of attire, from casual to dance-ready outfits. If you’re participating in dance or movement workshops, consider wearing flexible, modest clothing that allows for free movement. For worship sessions and evening gatherings, attire that reflects reverence and respect for the worship environment is appreciated.
10. Do I need to bring my own items such as flags?
Yes! Flags and other items won’t be available during the General Sessions or Worship Experiences. During specific Breakout Sessions, the Session Leader may provide flags or other items for use, so be ready for those exciting moments!
11. How do I pay parking fees if applicable?
We kindly ask that you follow the directions on the parking/street signs.
12. If I arrive in Philadelphia by train on Thursday morning, is there a place to keep my luggage until hotel check-in?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your luggage to the church when you arrive. We’ll keep it in a safe, designated area for you until you’re able to check in—whether that’s during a meal break or after the evening service.
13. I'm in the process of making arrangements for traveling to the event via train. My questions are indicated below: (1) How far is the location of the event from Philadelphia, PA William H. Grey Station (PHL)? (2) Would it be possible to catch a cab? (3) Where is the nearest hotel for lodging?
Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station is about 10 blocks from the church at 4017 Chestnut Street (near 40th Street). For those used to city walking, it may not feel too far, but if you’re carrying bags or luggage, it could feel like quite a stretch. Thankfully, taxis are available right outside the station, and you can also schedule an Uber or Lyft for an easy ride.
14. What is the difference between VIP and General Registration?
This year, we have decided to forgo a VIP option in order to create a more unified and accessible experience for everyone attending WAE26 Revival. All registered participants will receive the same access to the General Sessions and Breakout Sessions, ensuring that each person has the opportunity to fully engage, learn, and encounter without distinction. Our heart is to cultivate an atmosphere where everyone can come, receive, and participate together.
15. How can I become a volunteer at WAE?
We would love to have you serve with us! To get started, simply email us at wae@worshiparts.org and share your desire to volunteer. All volunteers will be asked to register for WAE, but as a thank-you for your service, you’ll receive a special volunteer discount on your registration. Serving is a powerful way to both give and receive during the Encounter—we can’t wait to welcome you to the team!
