Liturgical I, ages 8-14 yrs
This course is designed to launch our students into the ministry of dance. There is no prerequisite for this class however
depending on the age and maturity of the student, it may be suggested that the student begin in the Intro class for a year.
This course is geared to youth with little or no dance ministry/technique experience. Students are required to bring their
CCD Binders w/pen, notebook and of course, their bible to class. Reading material will be distributed on a quarterly basis
in which the student will be required to read. Upon graduating, students must be able to demonstrate and have working
knowledge of the following:
√ Define Praise, Prayer, Worship, and Dance
√ Define Hebrews words for Praise & Worship given by instructor
√ Define the Ministry of Dance
√ Participate in a CCD outreach event
√ Demonstrate Turn-out, port de bras, plier’ in first and second, releve’ in parallel and first, tendue in parallel and first
position, deglase’ in first and second
Liturgical II, ages 8-14 yrs
Prerequisite – Lit – I. This course is designed to expound in more detail the ministry of dance. Entrance into this class for
the first year CCD student requires the successful passing of an entrance exam and audition. It is geared to youth with
ministry and technique experience. Students are required to bring their CCD Binders w/pen, notebook and of course, their
bible to class. Reading material will be distributed on a quarterly basis in which the student will be required to read. Upon
graduating, students must be able to demonstrate and have working knowledge of the following:
√ Define Praise, Worship, Interpretive Dance, Fasting, Consecration, Holiness
√ Define Hebrews words for Praise & Worship given by instructor
√ Study and recite scriptures as given by instructor
√ Participate in a CCD outreach event

position, degage’, battements (grand & petit)
